Finding tattoo drawings isn’t always easy and making sure you find the right design is just as important as finding the right tattoo artist to turn an idea into reality.
We’ve all seen the “bad” tattoo on somebody. You cringe when you know that person has to deal with such an unsightly blemish. It could be the fault of the artist, but it could have also been a doomed tattoo from the beginning with poor planning and design selection.
Before you decide on a particular tattoo design, you need to carefully consider what part of your body the tattoo will be inked onto. The size of the body part and the contour or shape of that region can have a big effect on how well the tattoo turns out. Some designs look better against a flat surface, such as your back. Others designs will be better suited for curved surfaces, like arms or around the neck line.
Remember, this is going to be YOUR tattoo. Don’t walk into an ink shop and hope to find the right one. Don’t rely on the artist to choose a design for you. They will definitely help you make good decisions and you should take their advice seriously, however, nobody else has to live with the tattoo. Be prepared when you walk through the door.

Getting a tattoo is a one-of-a-kind experience. It’s a way of self expressing your personality in a unique art form. However, you should also take time to think about not only the tattoo design you want, but of potential issues as a result of getting a tattoo.
Although tattoos are considered generally safe, it’s not a regulated industry by the FDA. The pigments and dyes used are not monitored by the government. Of course, countless numbers of people receive tattoos everyday without any problems. But just keep a few things in mind.
Risk of infection is always a possibility when needles are used on your skin. Tattoos are applied with a small needle delivery system. It’s ok to ask your tattoo artist what their processes are for ensuring safety and sterility of their equipment. You may also be allergic to the inks being used which can cause rashes and itchiness around the affected area. Speak to others who have been to the same tattoo parlor and ask how they liked their experience there. Check with your local Better Business Bureau and see if they have many complaints on that particular shop.
Taking a few precautions now can help prevent issues later on. You’ll find that getting a tattoo is very satisfying and is very safe and a well established practice.
If you’re on this site then it’s no surprise to you how addicting and passionate tattoos can make you feel. It was once considered inappropriate for basketball players to have any outwardly visible tattoos. Turn on any game today and you’ll see more players than not have several tattoos.
Our hobby, self-expression or whatever you want to call it, has finally become mainstream and I think this is a very good thing. The more exposure the art has the more people will be attracted to it. The more people that are in the industry means more talent and ideas that will come around.
The next big thing will become even bigger and better in the world of tattoos. I’m excited to see it and those who have been in it long enough know that it hasn’t always been like this. Trends are trends and fads are fads, but I feel like tattoo trending will only continue to be on an upward swing for the foreseable future.
Tribal tattoo designs have been as popular as any other style of tattoo. There are literally hundreds and thousands of varieties available. Some designs originate from real tribal and native cultures. Others use different forms from multiple origins to create something new and unique. No matter what you choose, a tribal tattoo is a great addition to anybody looking to add something new to their body profile.
We love Mustang Tattoos as much as the next guy (or gal). But check this video out of a hardcore “Stang” enthusiast. Pretty nice job by the guys at High Voltage L.A.
When you want to know how fast a car is, you ask, “how much horsepower does it have”. When you think of powerful and classic muscle cars, you often think of the Ford Mustang. Others just love riding horses and capturing that wild and free spirit that Native Americans have known about horses for centuries.
A classy mustang tattoo today is having a bucking mustang on your chest over your left or right breast. Others prefer a mustang reared up on its hind legs over one of your shoulder blades.
One of the best tattoos that I’ve seen was a pack of mustangs running in stride with a large, full moon in the background. I saw this over a man’s right peck (breast muscle) at a local tattoo exhibition. Very well done and impressive.

Thanks Barry for sending in this tattoo. We really like this classic Mustang ink job. Barry says:
“Here’s my mustang tattoo , the badge not the car , the car is someone else’s car for a joke.”
If you want an awesome tattoo then you most likely will want to start looking at cool tattoo drawings. The problem is, tattoo drawings can be hard to find. The ones you do find are often played out designs or poor quality. You can’t take a crappy looking design to your tattoo artist.
Good luck in your venture to find just the right design for your needs and desires. Take some extra time now, before you get inked, before it’s too late and you regret your selection. Find as many drawings, sketches and ideas as you can. You might find the perfect one or you may combine two different drawings to come up with a unique cool tattoo drawing.
